I Remember

A year before 9/11 I had visited the World Trade Center on a business trip. I'm afraid of heights and will never forget leaning up against the glass in the observation area and looking down all those floors to the ground below.

On 9/11 I was pregnant with my first child and gave birth only a week later. I will never forget the hopes and fears of being a first time mom and the aftermath from this horrible thing that happened to our country.

Today, I sat down with my child and tried to explain what had happened this day and why we can NEVER forget.
